Which eye shadow colors enhance and intensify green eyes the most?

Some articles I've read say that reds and purples look best on green eyes, but some articles I've read say specifically to stay away from those colors. So for those of you who know a lot about cosmetics, which eye shadow colors are best?Which eye shadow colors enhance and intensify green eyes the most?
hmm well on the color wheel, find your eye color. the color(s) OPPOSITE the color of your eye color is the color that would intensify your eye color the most, because they're contrasting colors but look good together. this makes your eyes pop.

here's a really good explanation: (and picture!)

so if your eyes are more of an olive green: maroon eyeshadow or a possible rust

mint green: a soft pink

or really green: red (not recommended...!!!) or a red-violet (a better choice). maybe even some shades of purple or lavender.

i hope this helps!Which eye shadow colors enhance and intensify green eyes the most?
Steer more towards earthy tones : browns, bronze, and purple hues go great with green eyes. Try to stay away from darker colors, but you don't want to use too many light colors either. I have green eyes and I love wearing bronze eyeliner, but I also wear pewter colored eyeliners, it's lighter than black, but has the same smoky effect. So in short, I don't know about red, but you can definitely use purples and pretty much what ever you like, just be careful not to go too bold with your colors. Think more muted pallets.
I don't know how the whole ';purple looks good on green eyes'; got started, but it's ridiculous. We apply concealer to decrease the purple around our eyes, why add more? Purple isn't even green's complementary color, it's opposite yellow on the color wheel. And why anyone would want to bring out the yellow in their eyes is a mystery to me. And I'm speaking as someone with green eyes with tons of yellow flecks. Red is also not flattering to the eyes because it makes them look tired, or like you've just been crying. But red is green's complementary color, so at least that one makes some sense.

Never forget that whatever color eyeshadow you put on is sitting on your skin, so it should flatter your skin tone as well as bring out your eyes. That said, I think burgundy looks beautiful on green eyes. I use Stila's eyeshadow in Pigalle and it makes my eyes glow. Shimmery bronzes and coppers, especially those that lean towards red, look terrific too, like MAC's Mulch. I also like chocolate browns, golds, and beigy pinks.
Green usually brings out green- just depending on the shade- and gold. You have to be careful with red because you might end up looking like Christmas. ;) But, since green and red are complimentary colours- if you use a bit of red- it will bring your eyes out.

edit:

Wal-Mart also has ALMAY.
Shades of soft yellow, soft mint green, soft camel, apricot, medium khaki green, deep brown, turquoise with gold glitter, sea green, green teal, deep green, brown with gold glitter and matte black.

Hey! I have green eyes and I've found that Golds look fabulous on green eyes. Especially Dark golds and Coppers. Purple works too...but I would stick with gold. Then just apply Dark Brown Eyeliner (Bottom lid only) Curl your lashes, and put on mascara! %26lt;3
okay, so we all know target, right?

well target has a brand in the makeup section called ALMAY.

and it has specific shadows for each eye color.
