What color eye shadow looks good with dark brown eyes?

I sometimes where light nude colors. But I want to add some color, but I don't know what ones would look nice. Any suggestions?


Suggestions on what types of makeup to wear all together would be great too, and pictures videos or anything on makeup for brown eyes would be greatly appreciated! :)

I have dark brown eyes and I use dark grays and dark brown neutral colors so that way your eye color will pop with the dark color, especially the smoke eye look take your eye liner and line the top of your lid where the crease is and then take a creamy blackish gray and color in the line then add a white on top and fade it in, then take your eyeliner and line your bottom lid and top lid and add 2 coats of mascara, your eyes will look awesome when you get done
I have dark eyes too and I tend to use dark colours. Like browns or greys or blacks. But dark reddish browns can also look good. Nudes and peaches give a nice natural look. A fine line of dark (brown, black, grey) eyeliner on the top eyelid on the lash line can really open up and define your eyes, also a little dash of eyeliner on the outer sides of your bottom of your lower lash line will make your eyes look bigger. Mascara is also v. good to use. It really depends on your style and face shape and structure. Just experiment and find a look that your happy with :]

All Hues of Greens and purples look nice--shimmery ones are the best....I have dark brown eyes...I also use eyeliner in colors of Navy blue and Eggplant purple...those are WOW nice! My boyfriend said the Navy Blue makes my eyes stand out a LOT! So that might be something you want to look into.





As far as the eye-shadow goes, Wet n Wild makes compacts of eye shadow for making a ';smoky eye effect'; , and I bought mine in the purple color...It looks NICE! It's all labeled for your and everything! ';eyelid, crease, and browbone';...

**and just a tip...light colors will make your eye look smaller...darker colors will make it stand out more. And make sure to use eyeliner on the top eyelid lash-line only! outlining the bottom eyelid lash-line in conjunction with the top makes you have itty-bitty asian eyes! D: especially with black! Colored hues are not as bad, and you can get away with it if its a rich color like the Eggplant color I mentioned above.





**always highlight your browbone with a light neutral shade, as well as by the temples on your face! it makes your face brighter. :)

but the lucky thing about having brown eyes, is you can get away with any color, and it will still make your eyes pop...thats good...but defffenetly purple is the BEST color...but like i said...we with brown eyes, are so lucky.unlike green eyes or blue eyes,or hazel eyes, they cant pull off many colors.

i personally dont like to wear purple eyeshadow so i use dark brown on my lid and a lighter brown for the crease when i want a natural look and it makes my eyes look darker :)

I think gold...I've heard that somewhere that it works...I have the same color eyes as you, so...I think it also depends on your skin color (like if you're dark-skinned, and you use gray, you look ashy)

Use a highlighter on for the base of your eyelid and use a golden/bronze cream eye shadow. For a more defined look use darker colours at the bottom and gradually make the lid lighter as you go towards the top. Good luck! X
Clinique is a very natural line of makeup of which i buy all the time. I think what you need is a transparent baby blue, almost silver. ;D
i have dark brown eyes too and i recommend a blue or even a purple. they both look really good and make your eyes stand out. and if u want to make your eyes pop even more, use exact eyelights mascara by covergirl for brown eyes
if you are white person: the best would be a violet color eyeshadow and violet colored eyeliner. Try Clinique or Almay brands.





If you are african american person: pretty much anything goes and will look pretty, try gold colors
Light pinks look good.

i have dark brown eyes too and i use this eyeshadow at wallmart/walgreens its intense i-color for brown eyes its the purple its not bad, well hope i helped

I use a shimmery beige. They always say purple makes brown eyes';pop'; but im not into unnatural colors on my face. i cant pull it off
