You can throw rules out the window, as long as you wear the right colors for your skin tone, and you feel confident wearing them. But if you want to, stick with neutral colors like brown and tan for daytime, and kick it up a notch with a bolder color at night.What eye shadow colours should you wear at daytime and night time?
For daytime looks you want to stick with colors that aren't too heavy. You can wear any color you want if you just wear one on your eyelid. And then you can brighten the eye with a white or very light color of shadow on the brow bone. If you create looks with different colors then stick with colors that aren't too dark or dramatic. It depends on how daring you are with shadow colors and the occasion too. Stick with colors that will make you look fresh. You don't have to do naturals but don't do something over the top with strong liner, dark brows and strong shadow colors. For nighttime you can wear darker colors and add a lip color as long as it balances out your makeup (whether you are doing makeup for day or night you never want to do a dramatic eye and then a dramatic lip or brow-focus on what you wanna bring out the most and then keep the rest of your face low key.)

Usually daytime shadows consist of ';soft colors';. Think shades of pinks, peaches, browns, golds, light blues. And then for nighttime think of navys, darker browns, dark pinks/almost red, dark grays/blacks, deep purples. bright colors like hot pinks, bright purples, yellows.

I hope this helps you out some!
DayTime

you should wear light colors at daytime like like browns for a natural look, with rosy lips and cheeks. avoid dark colors because they'll look harsh and a bit tacky.

NightTime

avoid light colors because they'll be unnoticeable. go for more mascara and heavier eyeliner.

it's exact opposite for both.
wear more neutrals during the day and at work/school. like, try a gold or bronze instead of bright yellow during the day, then for night, you can do a smoky eye, bright colors, purples, etc. :)
DAY TIME;

you should stick with what brings out your eyes and your best features... anything you want people to see.

NIGHT TIME;

you should just pick anything that you like.

bright hotpinks and greens.

colorful eyeliner the works
A) You spell colors like this and not like colours.

B) It depends on your complextion. Usually light colors for the day and a misty gray for the evening.
I would say neutral shades during the day and add darker more dramatic shades at night.
In thae day time , mostly light , like purple or gold , at night , stuff like smokey eye ...and darker shades ..
Natural for daytime, and more shimmer at night :D
