What color eye-shadow or eye-liner helps to offset redness in the eye?

I am sort of sick and I haven't been sleeping well but I have a couple parties and dates coming up. HELP!What color eye-shadow or eye-liner helps to offset redness in the eye?
Don't use anything with purple hues (or red or pink). Using a flesh toned pencil (or white if you cannot find one), rim the entire inner lid of the eye (the pinkish wet part). Use a light golden shimmer in the inner corners of the eyes and under the brow. Using a brown (cool toned, not reddish) liner, go along the roots of the lashes.
