What color eye shadow with a dark blue dress?

Ok, I'm wearing a dark blue dress for a school function and I'm not sure what color eye shadow to wear, especially since i have very fair skin. What color eye shadow with a dark blue dress?
You could go with the totally blue look, but use the color eye liner that matches your lashes. Or go with a more natural shade like the taupes %26amp; tans, even pinks %26amp; do white high lighting. What color eye shadow with a dark blue dress?
The more important question is What color are your eyes? If you are fair skinned with green eyes soft taupes or light browns will work well with a blue dress. If you have blue eyes, gray hues will be better for that ';smoky'; look. If you have brown eyes, wear a light bone color or shimmery pinks. DO NOT wear blue eye shadow.
Definitely not blue!! Why don't you call one of the department stores for a free make over. Like Dillards, Macy. They would probably get you the right color. Good luck.
Gold or silver could be really pretty, depending on what you think looks best with your eye color.
You can never go wrong with olive! Especially with brown eyes. =]
light pearly pink

or smokey black.

or dark forest green,

depending on your eye colour

What color eye shadow do I wear with a hot pink shirt?

I am light brown hair, light skinned, with blue/green eyes. Also, how do I apply it so I look fantastic tonight? What color eye shadow do I wear with a hot pink shirt?
I would wear a very light white, shimmery eyeshadow. Apply it so that it is heavier in the middle and evens out on the sides. What color eye shadow do I wear with a hot pink shirt?
First off I am going to say: DON'T match your makeup with your outfit. It was NEVER a good thing to do, it looks sooo tacky.

Makeup is supposed to make your face look better. You are supposed to make it natural looking, remember? :D lol so just get makeup that looks good with your eyes and face. I don't know what goes well with blue/green eyes, but maybe a light pink shadow?

Put a primer [if you have it] on your eyelid first so the shadow sticks there for awhile.

Then apply the eyeshadow. Make it darker on the outsides of your eyelid [closest side to your ears] and make it lighter when you get to the part closest to your nose. From light to dark. Get it?

Then apply a highlighter to your brow bone, if you have a whiteish colored shadow. Just put it everywhere above your crease up to your eyebrow. Don't put too much, just a little.

Then put on some masacra.

:D Have fun!
u should wear a pretty color that goes with hot pink lyke for me light pink witha mix of white and dark pink eye shadow wil be great u put the light pink on first not to much and then u put the dark pink toward the end of ur eye or othr wise known as the puter corner of ur eye and just put a lil bit rite there and but sum in the iner corner of ur eye just a lil and then u get the white eyeshadow and put a lil in the middle and then u rub it in together and it looks great dont rub it in to much then ull look kinda drag queenish jk but yuhh and uhh u should use liquid eye liner for the top and dark black eyeliner pencil for the botom and mascara tahts bout it hope i helped need n e more advice ppl im here =]
creamy colors, like whites, ivory, and browns. apply the lightest color to the entire eye and in the corners of your eyes. then put the second darkest color on the entire lower lid. to make the look dramatic, put a dark color in your crease. mak sure to use black mascara. and you can use brown or black eye liner. =] and if you plan to stay out late, use a white eye liner in your water line. hope this helps
Brown tones always bring out light eyes. Choose a light, ivory color for eyebrow bones and by the tear duct. A deep chocolate for the crease and a medium, shimmery, not sparkly, brown for the lid. Since your top is bright, tone down your look with neutral makeup so your look will be balanced.
Don't wear any. Apply a brown or black liner on the top lid and smudge it witha q-tip for a naturally pretty look instead. Highlight under the eyebrow and in the inner corner of the eyes with a shimmery white shadow.
light pink eyeshadow with some hot pink in there somewhere. browns are so boring and you can never go wrong with bright colored eyeshadows. if youre light skinned with colored eyes its best you wear colored eyeshadow to make your eyes pop. browns kinda set your eyes in.
Brown tones
Id wear a medium brown.
blend it from to to bottom like this

brown

tan

beige

white

What do you think the perfect shade of eye shadow is?

Whenever I go to the mall, I can never decide on what shade of eye shadow to get. I want something that will go with my skin tone , but also with what I'm wearing. What do you think the perfect shade of eye shadow is?
i love bronzy colors as well as a shimmery white colorWhat do you think the perfect shade of eye shadow is?
Well it's obvious then, choose the colour eyeshadow of the main colour you're wearing. (I assume you don't wear one item of every single colour under the sun!)

And obviously don't overdo it either, like taking the colour up to your brows. Now THAT would look silly! :D
Neutral shade of brown. But I think it depends on your eye colour.
A neutral color that blends with your skin. I like copper and sunset gold. I say have fun with them. Sometimes I see colors on people I thought could never pull that off they do and it looks great. So go for it.
The biggest mistake people make is wanting to match there eye shadow with there outfit. You want a color that dramatizes your eye color and compliments your other features. But matching with clothes is a big no no!! Go with something neutral or soft to start.
do black it goes with everything!
I usually never buy eye shadow. Do you wear lipstick? What I do is, whatever shade of lipstick I'm wearing, I'll smooth a little over the tip of my finger, then blend it into my eyelid. And since I usually wear browns or mauves, it doesn't look overdone...just matches nicely.
Browns, light pinks and always always buy a matte white eye shadow to highlight your eyes both at night and day.
I like Joy by Bare Minerals. It has tones of gold, pink, and a touch a green. It goes with almost everything.
Their is no perfect shade because the beauty of a woman is not the same is it. Depending on the color and texture of the skin you will have to try different colors and find which works best with you. One that complements not cover like some women do. Remember it is suppose to enhance you beauty not make you beautiful.
brown or copper
You can NEVER go wrong with neutrals... tan, light brown... it a fail proof color
For me, neutrals and browns/golds go with everything...you can't go wrong with that!
black =]]]]

or greenish blue with some black eyeliner

xx
Natural. No color.
It really depends on your eye colour and skin tone I guess, but browns, greens and golds look great on most people. You want to try and contour the shades though, one base colour doesn't really have much depth to it, so perhaps try a peach/nude at the inner corners of your eyes and a darker brown on the outside, but be sure to blend them! Finish it off with some mascara, and also liquid liner if you use that. It's a simple, fresh, yet put together look. The browns and neutral shades will go with most things you wear but if you really want to you can try alternating the colours of shadows you use.
Like creemish or brownish tan Or my favorite a smokey eye!!!!
i like a soft lavender. go with whatever almost matches your eyes naturally. just add sparkle, you know?
the neutrals are always the best....but it really depends on oyur skin tone and the look u r going for.
I'd say stick to the natural look! i always find it hard when wearing bright colour eyeshadows to find matching clothes!!! :D go for a bronze/ browny kind of eyeshadow and highlighter! add a bit of mascara and you can wear it with anything!

Hope i helped!
its a metalic purple that shines pink

looks good on all girls no matter the race :D
I dont really like eyeshadow but if I had to pick I would choose definetly something that matches my skin tone. No pinks, purples, blues, greens, or oranges.

silver, or lite brown
I love dark purple and blue
It's hard to really tell what your skin tone and outfit color is over the internet, but I'm sure there is a color out there for you. The safest color for any makeup occasion is definatly brown. Any shade looks nice on most people and matches lots of skin colors. I perfer Mocha by Mac. My favorite eye look is a peach color ( All that Glitters by Mac) with a brown right in my crease (Mocha) and a black outer corner (Print by Mac). It gives you a multitude of colors to work with and picks up in different outfits. I'm also a big fan of liquid liner. It takes away from the nesscessity of eyeshawdow but still lots either funky or classy depending on your aim. best of luck! :]

To be honest, MAC makeup isn't as good as all the hype makes it out to be. I suggest going to Macy's and looking at all of the different cosmetics counters to see what will work best for you because everyone has different skin. Often, these counters will give you free samples to try the products.

I also suggest using a foundation primer (again, check the makeup counters at Macy's to see what will work best for you) as well as an eyeshadow/eyelid primer.

If you're looking for drugstore makeup, I suggest the Revlon Colorstay foundation.

If you're interested in finding out more information on different makeup brands before you buy, try going to www.makeupalley.com, it's very helpful!
Ok..well if you have oily skin cream and liquid foundation is going to just slide offa your face!

I use LA Minerals Hollywood foundation and their oil control powder and my makeup looks good till I take it off at night;)

any makeup can have a lasting effect on your skin...you just need a good base for it. set your face before doing anything that will maintain your makeup to stay on longer through out the day, i suggest using a face primer and eye shadow primer.
MAC! also make srue you use a primer like Clinique sheer city block!
MAC.... it feels natural and lasts a pretty long time.

  • What's the difference between pressed & loose mineral eye shadow?

Most mineral eye shadows come as loose powders. i've been thinking about trying a pressed type. Can anyone tell me what's the difference in the end result b/w pressed %26amp; loose mineral shadow? What's the difference between pressed %26amp; loose mineral eye shadow?
they dont really have different results

My eye shadow clumps after a few hours from applying it. What can I do to prevent that?

Its the cream you are using, that is what is clumping it up. Use something that is sticky instead of creamy. They have stuff to put on before you eye shadow to keep it from clumping and help it stay on. You only want to put a thin layer on or it will start clumping too. Go to any store like Ulta the they will sell it. I forgot the name of it but just ask them for something to help keep eyeshadow on. Its the same stuff that they use in eyeshadow sticks. My eye shadow clumps after a few hours from applying it. What can I do to prevent that?
The primer/';cream'; you are using may be too heavy, or the eyeshadow/cream maay be no good or cheap.

Apply a lighter layer of the cream first to see if that helps. If it doesn't, I would suggest a better primer or eyeshadow, or even both. If you don't mind the price, MAC is a great brand. It's a bit expensive, but it has a much longer life than covergirl, max factor, ect- so the price averages out in the end.My eye shadow clumps after a few hours from applying it. What can I do to prevent that?
Use an eyeshadow primer, you can get a good one from ULTA or SEPHORA
i know it sounds crazy but put chapstick on your eyelids before you put on your eyeshadow, it really does work.
well if its cheap it'll do that.

but use chapstick or foundation on your eyelids.

    thats what i do.

What eye shadow color goes well with dark skintone?

I'm just getting into wearing eyeshadow, and would like to know the colors that would look nice on my skintone. I really like my make-up to look natural, but since I've decided to give it a go, I'd like to know the right colors to wear....so if anyone have any suggestions, please feel free to respond! What eye shadow color goes well with dark skintone?
Jewel tones look amazing. Sapphire, emerald, ruby, and gold. Rich purple tones are also good. Gold is essential though, so you should make it your staple. You can wear it alone, or rub it above your lips and in the corners of your eyes if your using another shade on your lids. What eye shadow color goes well with dark skintone?
purples most definitely. even greens blues whites and pinks. i love them on dark skintones their the best
i like a redish purple color for darker skin tones
    pinks and golds.

What eye shadow color goes with Copper?

My senior prom is this coming Thursday, and I've been trying to figure out what color eye shadow I can use to complement both my eye color and the color of my dress. I have very dark brown eyes, and a decently dark completion, and my dress is a slightly metallic copper color. Any Suggestions? What eye shadow color goes with Copper?
you can use light brown to make your eye color popWhat eye shadow color goes with Copper?
Copper sounds like a cool color, but you should make your eyes POP with some complementary colors that are great for brown eyes! Try something like this!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHLMjcJLE鈥?/a>

If you still wanna go with the copper, try copper and forest green
You should get one of those dual eyeshadow compacts, one is a highlight ';shadow'; and the other is...the shadow XD. I have a great one in gold and dark brown...I think that would look nice with your dark brown eyes/complexion and copper-ish dress.
Maybe a forest green color? I think that would compliment a copper dress. However i would stay away from silver, purple %26amp; pink :)

    soft violet ,a greenish color, ??? i dunno ^.^
i think u should use either a dark brown or a purple/vilot color

What color of eye shadow should I use?

I have tan, olive skin and dark brown hair with blue eyes. My blue eyes are a little bit green I think they are a bit dull and seem to have the smaller pinch of brown. But they are mostly blue. What color of eye shadow should i use? What color of eye shadow should I use?
if you want to make them look really blue use browns and bronze colors, if you want to lean towards green use purplesWhat color of eye shadow should I use?
Try shimmery colors and use browns and creams they bring out the blue in your eyes
You can use a green eyesho\adow to bring out the green and make it look mor bright. And in the crease use a dark brown color, so that the make up on your eyes don't seem too bright.

What is the best color of eye shadow for pale skin, black hair, and brown eyes?

Yeah so basically I look asian but I have double eyelids. I'm starting work soon so I need to start wearing makeup. Any good color suggestions? I don't want to wear anything too bright or flashy (like green or purple).

And if anyone knows a good website on how to apply makeup, that would also be very helpful :)What is the best color of eye shadow for pale skin, black hair, and brown eyes?
I think on you, a light charcoal/gray shade would look really pretty. I'd keep the eyeliner (if you wear any) to a dark gray, almost black. You could also try brown shades, with a dark brown liner. Shimmery (not glittery) eyeshadows are my favoritttte; make sure to try them!

You can find everything I've mentioned at a drugstore, Target, or a beauty supply store :) My favorite brands are wet n wild, NYC, Covergirl and Maybelline.

  • What eye shadow colors work best for african americans?

Well, I think a nice Metallic/Sparkly eyeshadow would go. A medium metallic blue or a sparkly gold, sparkly silver or dark sparkly purple. You can mix the purple and blue or silver.... Okay there's lots of combinations. You can get this at sephora.com or Sephora.

Or you can just get a deep gold. From L'Oreal Paris HIP Metallic Shadow Duo in Gilded.

But a nice Denim blue smudge from your lashlines to just above your creases for a casual look. And a nice Nude gloss would go with this and just a swipe of Mascara. You can get this eyeshadow at Drugstores. It's called L'Oreal Paris Wear Infinite Eye Shadow Single in Reflecting Pool. A few of my favourite Nude Glosses are: Revlon Creme Gloss in Just Blushed and Burt's Bee's Lip Gloss in Nectar Nude. A nice Mascara for you would be Covergirl Exact Eyelights Mascara In Black Pearl.

Or Try N.Y.C. New York Color Metro Quartet Eyeshadow in Union Square (You can also get this at Drugstores) it comes in lots of different shades of brown. This shadow gives you a sophisticated sculpted look. Sweep the darker shades on outer corners and creases and the lighter tones on inner corners and browbones.

Or for a nice Icy White Shimmer, line the edges of your eyes with a white shadow, it instantly brightens your face, then for a healthy glow.(Maybelline New York Shadow Stylist Loose Powder Eye Shadow in Contemporary White you can also get this at Drugstores) and a sweet lipstain would go nicely with it. (Covergirl Outlast Lipstain in Wild Berry Wink).

Or Covergirl Eye Enhancers 4-kit eyeshadow in pure romance Drugstores it adds a nice sheer glow to your eyes it also brightens them.

I agree with Alyssa blues, pink, lime green looks great, gold and bronzy colors. You can even do black and white if you want to. As a professional Makeup Artist I would have to say go with a Bronzy copper eye or a Gold Tone eyeshadow. If you use MAC look at colors like Amber Lights, Texture, Goldmine. Use Goldmine lightly. The others you can use with a stiff brush to provide more color.

If you need a crease color use Brown Down by MAC or Embark, or Folie. They will make Abmer lights and Texture pop on your eye. For a line go with MAC Black Engraved and for a full cury lengthening mascara go with Dior in DiorShow. What eye shadow color would look good with a red top?
    stick to light colours
I don't think brown eyeshadow does a thing for brown eyes! Too much brown. Try a soft beige or taupe, combined with a gold. You need some contrast from too much brown.
you should wear some light brown and/or gold eye shadow that would definetly go with your outfit or mix them both together be creative
    brown/bronze/gold

    in that family
the thing is, red is a maaaaaad loud color, so you need to just use a sheer, taupy, shimery shade. that will still look great on your skin tone, have the exact same thing, but it wont make you look like you're wearing a ridiculous amount of make-up or anything like that. a little bit of a gold shimmer would do great also, and if you need to improvise, using a bllush-brush to put a loose shimmery bronzer instead works perfect.
go for the dusky look with dark browns and beige.
well i like this color from mac its not exacly red but it as that color n dnt wear it by it self used like 2-4 other colors diz are the colors that i use with it

bright green with a sparkle of glittery gold!
i agree with the brown or a gold color, i wear a goldish color when i wear red, and if u also have gold and brown in your shoes, u can tie everything together with those colors
Please please plese DO NOT wear bright colored eye shadow with a red top. Do something pretty and nuetural. You will look so much prettier if you wear nice natural colored make up. You can still make it look very nice and pretty without putting lots of color in it. Matching your make up to your outfit should stop after you hit sixteen.

How do you do good shadings of eye shadow?

i want to know how to cause i wear eye shadow but i want to make it look good. so i sorta need ideas. pictures are good too.How do you do good shadings of eye shadow?
The key to good eyeshadow application is using a brush. Usually I go with 3-4 shades, but you can use as little as two. You will want to first use a good base underneath. Then use a nice shadow fluff brush (I use MAC 213) to do your lid shadow and the area under your brows. (You can also do your entire lid if you want a more muted look). Then use a crease brush (mine is MAC 224) and do the darker crease in that window washer motion. That should give you the shading you want. How do you do good shadings of eye shadow?
    First off,

    get good quality shadows

    (Wont smear, rub off etc)

then get a good eye shadow brush -- this

will make the difference between how

good it looks compared with how it would

look using the normal brush the eye shadow

comes with. The brush eyeshadows come

with, are for touchups ONLY.. not day-to-day

use. So think about spending 15-20$ on a

eyeshadow brush, it will make the difference.
Well, if you go to any drugstore they sell those eyeshadow palettes and some one them (i forgot the name) have about four different shades of a color and it tells you were to put it (brow bone, outer corner, lid, crease) and they come in all different shades..

well with eyes like that i would use a color very light because if you are afriad that other people will notice stay light. well i have somehow the same problem. so i use light pink with charcol eye liner. the only deference from black and charcol are charcol does not show up as much.
i don't know you but i use Blake eye linger and shadows dark Brown ,red brown ,dark green i mean dark pistaje
My eyes are different, too. Theyr'e like pie charts, different colors, then they just stop and go into a totally different color. It depends on what your hair color is and what you're wearing, too. I use a white creame shadow on my eye lids and right under my eyebrow. Then I go with a very thin light grey line right above my eye lid. In the space between the grey line and the white under my eyebrow, I put a light layer of dark grey. It usually goes with anything, and its cute. It works for me. Also, you could layer your top eye lid really thin with black eyeliner. Nothing too big, just enough to go along your eyelashes. This highlights your eyes. Hope I explained it well enough.
I have brown eyes too, goldish and bronze (colors in that range are what i use, it looks good too) you could be crazy and use bright colors..hot pink, lime green, really crazy colors but they look good with brown eyes. eyeliner? not so sure about what color eyeliner i just use brown and put some like cream colored eyeshadow over it. good luck with whatever you try! :)
i would use black eye liner, and then about any other color for the eye Shadow.i always do eye shadow that maches my shirt.
If you want to bring the green out on your eyes use a maroon or purple eyeshadow or liner. If you want to bring out both colors the best color is a coral orange color in eyeshadow. If you can think of the color wheel the opposite color will bring out that color more.

    Green=red

    orange=blue

    yellow=violet
I have brownish-greenish colored eyes and I use bronzish-brownish eye shadow with light pink on the outside corners of my eyes. And i use dark brown eye liner. And everyone compliments me on my makeup.

  • What color eye shadow is good for grey/blue eyes?

Right now I am using a gold sparkle sort of eye shadow and some black eyeliner. But I want some new colors for the new year! What color eye shadow is good for grey/blue eyes?
Choose an eye shadow that complements your blue eyes. Shades in the brown, rose and violet families are best. The warm hue of these shades contrasts with the cold tone of your blues to really make them pop. Use a shade that is darker in tone than your eye color to make your baby blues shineWhat color eye shadow is good for grey/blue eyes?
    Blue Eyes:

As a general rule, those with blue eyes should look for eye makeup in gray, violet, taupe, purple, and deep blue. Many have found using a dark shade of blue will actually bring out the more natural blue tones in your eyes; giving you a brighter and more vibrant look.

    Drugstore Suggestions:

    1. Violets and Purples: CoverGirl Eye Enhancers, Trio Eye shadow, Dance Party #125, ~$5.00

    2. Gray and Deep Blue: Revlon ColorStay 12 Hour Eye Shadow, Sultry Smoke #342, ~$7.00

    3. Taupe: CoverGirl Eye Enhancers - Single Eye Shadow, Tapestry Taupe #760, ~$4.00
GOD NO PURPLE. all colors not to use: blue, green, purple, orange, yellow, red look absolutally tacky and ugly. When you wear make-up you use bronzes/browns/blacks. No colors that arnt natural should be used. I have Blonde hair and brown eyes so i use like a dark plum, not a vibrant purple, but it looks natural because of my other features. My hairdresser told me this. :D

** You should use Black eyeliner, like usual, but try a darker shade just above the eyelid, and then a liter brown on top of that. You would look great!
um... you can pritty much use any color, its not like a color wount look bad on your eys just because of what color they are. but if you really want the blue in your eyes to really pop and stand out, use brown eyeshadow.

i have the same color eyes as you exccept mine has some green in it too and my friend is always telling me that brown will really make my eyes pop.
Well, I usually use a sparkly brown myself. Brown really makes blue eyes pop. If I were you, I would experiment with some colors to find something that you really like.
Charcoal would be pretty, or a silvery shade with a bit of shimmer. Browns are always pretty too, regardless of eye color.
    different shades of pink.
i have the same colour eyes and i use earthy greens and browns with a green or brown eyeliner

mix and match see what you come up with
browns are good. sometimes, a lilac is pretty smudged on your eyelids.
do a smokey eye but with brown tones

    also try pink
I think green or pink. It's boring putting blue over blue eyes!
    PURPLE!

    follow these steps

    -wash your face

    -apply moisterizer

    -apply concealer (if needed)

-apply eyeshadow base (helps makeup stay without getting creases

    -appply eye shadow and eyeliner

how long your makeup stays onWhat can i do to make my eye liner and eye shadow stay on longer?
after i wash my face, i put on foundation and powder on the lids to even out the color. then i put on a mac ';paint'; and then eyeshadow. the paints come in ALL kinds of colors, and works wonders. i highly recommend it. my eyeshadow lasts ALL NIGHT LONG, and i use lots of shadow when i go out partying ;)
If you haven't already tried it, try using liquid eyeliner. You have to scrub that stuff off!
try eye primer. it works great! i get mine from mary kay. i went to fiesta texas got all wet on my face -soaked, and it eye shadow and eye liner stayed on. everyones faces were all runny and mine was not
Make sure you're buying waterproof or smudgeproof make-up. I use waterproof eyeliner and never have a problem.

If you're willing to pay a little more, try some products from a department store. The saying, ';you pay for what you get'; holds very true with regards to make-up. It's worth it to spend a little more for peace of mind, knowing that your make-up is going to stay on all day long!!

    Showcase Those Brown Eyes

The best make up tips for brown eyes draw attention to those peepers. If you have brown eyes try the darker matted colors and create a smokey eye effect. Your daytime look can be simple or dramatic. You can pull it off.

Pretty, springtime eyes can be created using some of the new pastel, frosted eye shadow colors. Try some of the new offbeat colors like pink or yellow. Use them to line all the way around your eyes.

You lucky gals with brown eyes have lots of makeup options. You can choose to wear eyeliner or not. A lot of looks that would be too harsh on a woman with lighter eyes, looks great on you.

Those of you with light brown eyes have such an unusual color it would be a shame not to highlight them. Definitely try the smokey eye look and experiment with lots of different colors. Use lots of muted shadow liners and crayons.

When you are creating a dramatic eye, or emphasizing the eye, remember to leave the rest of your makeup subtle. Too much all over makeup will just make you look too made up. To avoid looking clownish, never emphasize more than one part of your face at a time.

    Neutral Colors For Brown Eyes

The best makeup colors for brown eyes are actually those that are neutral in color. Try colors in the brown family like taupes and peaches. I try to somewhat match my colors for a coordinated look. This is not to say that your shadow should be beige, and your blush beige, and your lipstick beige. I鈥檓 not talking about a monotone color, just a coordinated one.

    Coordinate Your Colors

For instance, if you are wearing shadows from the brown family, try a peach blush. If you are wearing a more colorful shadow like violet or blue, use a berry or rose colored blush. Keep like colors together. Muted with muted; bright with bright.

Makeup for brown eyes really has few rules. You certainly are not bound by the rules that many of us with lighter colored eyes have to live by. If I tried some of the looks that you can get away with, I鈥檇 look like a raccoon.

When selecting eyeliner, you can go with dark browns for a natural look and black for a more intense look. And you can frame those eyes with tons of black mascara. You have the enviable position of looking both innocent and mysterious at the same time. Play it up and emphasize what you want!

There鈥檚 no excuse for you women with brown eyes to not play up that feature. Use dark shadow, light shadow, matte shadow, or shimmery ones. Just remember to avoid putting too much makeup on the rest of your face. Be sure to create balance with your look.
purple and olive green. they will make em POP
    Blue
    Tanning gives you skin cancer.

Just thought i would let you know.

Sorry thats no help to your question.

I have blue eyes and dont even know what would match them, let alone what would match brown eyes.
Use colors that have purple or gold tones. This brings out the warmth in your eyes and makes them bigger. Clinique has a violet eye liner that really makes them pop, you don't need alot of it...maybe just your top lash line. Use eye shadow colors that are opposite your eye color on the color spectrum
shades of brown and blue bring out the brown in eyes

but having brown eyes as well, pinks, purples and greens also look great
If you have brown eyes, deep, earthy colors are great. Greens, golds, blues, and various purple shades work nicely with the browns.

If you have hazel eyes, feminine, girly pink pale purple, and sheer blush shades are great with hazel, along with black.

A smoky eye works on any eye color.

Brown eyes: Try blending a light purple eyeshadow with a medium shade to intensify the brown with a black eyeliner and mascara to define.

What color eye shadow looks best on blue eyes?

Pictures would be helpful to get the full effect.

Thanks! What color eye shadow looks best on blue eyes?
I have blue eyes.... and any color works with my eyes... What color eyeshadow doesn't really have to much to do with what your eye color is, as it does with skin tone and hair color... so, figure out what season you are, and work from there... some people, like myself, have a skin tone where they can get away with any eye shadow color. When you're pairing your eyeshadow with your eye color, it's to make your eye color ';pop';... so like colors, or contrasting colors, are great in that respect.

Here's what's up... rather than worrying what color looks good, find a style you like... here's some things to consider:

Do you like light or dark eyeshadow?

Do you like modern or retro looks?

    Do you like heavy eyeliner?

Do you like neutrals, pastels, or bold colors?

Do you like to wear ';falsies'; (fake eyelashes)?

    Do you like cat eyes?

Brown look great with blue eyes! Report Abuse

Wish I had a picture for you but the only suggestion I have is to check a ';color wheel'; you see them at art supply and craft stores.

Look at the colors that are opposite the blues. They are in the browns taupe and peach tones..opposites go together whether it's paint or make up. Also think about your skin tone if you are extra light then I'd use something very soft the darker your skin tone the more intense colors you can wear.

What can I use to stop eye shadow from disappearing into my eyelid crease?

TRIED AND TESTED TIPS ONLY PLEASE.

This usually happens when the eyeshadow has been on for a while during the day, some of it disappears into my eyelid crease. What can I use to stop this? What can I use to stop eye shadow from disappearing into my eyelid crease?
I use ';too faced shadow insurance';.

It's a lifesaver! Make sure your eyelids are clean, then apply!

It keeps my eyeshadow looking great for the whole day, even in hot and sweaty weather.

I used it for my prom too, it's great!

Apparently it's very similar to the urban decay primer, but I've heard that too faced is better value.

Here's a video about eyeshadow bases, by xsparkage, she has great makeup tips! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7_DiN_6t鈥?/a>What can I use to stop eye shadow from disappearing into my eyelid crease?
before you put your eyeshadow on make sure you cleanse your skin and eyes and dont use any moisturiser on your eyelids because they already contain alot of natural oils in them. once your skin has been prepared put foundation on your eyelids then dust with a translucent powder, use a powder eyelid rather than a cream as they crease within a few minutes of application. i do this everyday works like a charm.
Before you put anything on your lids, make sure they are clean, then apply a primer of your choice apply your shadow, if you notice creasing during the day try to keep the color shadow you used, a brush and some oil blotting sheets with you. when you see creasing, very gently blot at you lid and blend the shadow on your lid that's already there. If needed touch up your shadow .
Eyeshadow Primer - Urban Decay makes a GREAT one called Primer Potion. If you use face primer, that could be used too, but actual eyeshadow primer works miracles!!! My makeup stays on all day, doesn't smudge or get greasy, stays flawless!

The other suggestions were good too, if you are going to use a ';base'; eyeshadow, try to use a cream eyeshadow or a thick pencil liner, that way the eyeshadow will actually stick to it.
Make sure your eyelids are dry and foundation free. Then apply a base colour (a slightly different shade than the one you want shown) and you can also apply another base colour and this will keep your eyeshadow on for longer. It works really well for nights out as the base's allow the eyeshadow to stay on. Hope i helped :) Also use a powder eyeshadow than a cream one.
I know that putting chapstick on your eyelid before putting the eyeshadow on helps the powder stay on. Maybe it would work for that, too.
The only thing I've found that works for this problem is Urban Decay Primer Potion. You can buy it at Ulta or Sephora, and it costs $16.00. It's worth the money.

For an everyday look I like to use neutral colors, then add a bright liner. My favorite are light brown shadows with bright teal liner, it's very pretty. Brown is good 'cause it goes with a lot of things, like pink, purple, blue, green and more. A good and quick thing to do is use an interesting shade of liner, on top and bottom, then apply a colour that goes with it all over the lid, on top of the liner. Or you can do a contrasting colour of eyeshadow first, then apply liner on top and bottom. Try Acid Green Liner with Chic eyeshadow found here: http://nyxcosmetics.com/Main_Pages/Profi鈥?/a>

I agree that L'oreal HIP works well. I find that the DS brands that work best in terms of pigmentation are L'Oreal (not just HIP) and CoverGirl (mostly their shimmery ones though, although I have had success with their matte ones)

If you live in Canada, you should check out Annabelle. I love their shadows.

I find though that even expensive shadows don't go on very pigmented for me over my primer (urban decay, to prevent creasing) unless I use a cream shadow over the primer. This way, even my cheapest and hardest to work with shadows look better than my MAC shadows, which I hate :)What is the best highly pigmented eye-shadow that can be found at a drugstore?
    loreal HIP is okay.

sure, it's still drugstore crap, but that's the best you can get for the cheap brands. although, if you want shimmer, you have to consider that adding shimmer to an eyeshadow actually makes it less pigmented
Ummmmm I really like the Jane eyeshadows and the Hip ones. I have the Jane shadow called Clubbing and it applies nicely and stays for a long time.
What you are asking for is only at MAC and they are called PIGMENTS, and they are multistaskers you can use them as glosses by mixing them with a clear gloss, even if they are pricey they worth it.

you should get rid of makeup after 1 year of use or the bacteria will spread. you need to throw away yours now!How often should I replace powdered eye shadow and blush?
You can clean it off by putting alcohol on a cotton pad and wiping the surface of the product, then let dry. Clean you brushes often too.

We do this in theatre with eyeshadow and blush that has to be shared, we clean it between people.
i wouldn't save it for that long because since you put it on your eyes it can easily get bacteria from your eyes and you just leae the cap on it so it probably isn't a good idea to keep eye makep that long!!!

  • What are the best eye shadow colors to go with Hazel eyes?

I also have verrrrryyy light skin, I just want to find an eye shadow that looks right with me skin tone and eye color. What are the best eye shadow colors to go with Hazel eyes?
I have hazel eyes too i use neutral colors. Sometimes i will add a silver or gray and it looks okay too. If you want bright then try a pink. Seeing how you have a very light skin tone you should also try blending a gold color with light browns.. if you where blush try to make it neutral or lighter pinks. Greens look good sometimes but i find it too much green doesn't look good so stick to olives blended with brown. If you use a light blue blend it with a light green or olive. Get complimentary colors and BLEND is the key. Seeing how hazel is a blend of colors you eye shadows should definitely be too. Oh and I love Revlon's eye shadows. Store the powder eye shadow compact laying FLAT, and put a tissue in between the compact lid and the eye shadow.
Dont carry it in your purse! All my eyeshadows are all messed up.....but hey i still use them
Don't get it wet or leave it in the bathroom while your showering.
just keep them in their own case inside another air tight container and in a cool, dark, dry place (like a drawer). expensive eye shadow is usually very good quality and made with good ingredients so opening the case once a day or so for a few seconds will certainly not ruin the texture or make it crack. :)

What eye shadow makes blue eyes stand out and look the best?

    i have browny blonde hair

tanned skin and yeah : )

please help! What eye shadow makes blue eyes stand out and look the best?
Browns, taupes and bronze eye shadows look amazing with blue eyes.

Brown makes blue stand out because they are complimentary colors, meaning that on a color wheel they are direct opposites. Therefore, when the two colors are put together it draws attention to the area and it looks amazing.

    Hope this helped!

What eye shadow makes blue eyes stand out and look the best?
    brown , bronze , grey

For a really great effect, combine blue and brown shadows and wear them together. You can start by applying a light blue shade for the base of your eye, next apply a dark blue shade to the crease of your eye and finish by applying a rich brown or rust color to your lid. Another option is to use contrasting colors alone. Start with a cream color for the base of your eye, apply a darker brown to the crease and use a medium, rich brown for the lid. Almay carries a line of shadows called intense i-color that are designed to help blue eyes stand out.
For whatever reason people believe you should match the eye shadow to your eye color. That is wrong! What will happen is it will compete with your eye color and the eyeshadow will usually be more dominant. You don't want people to notice your eyeshadow; you want them to notice you!

for blue eyes.. : Rich warm browns, warm taupes and soft peaches
Almay used to make little sets designed to enhance different eye colors. I don't remember exactly, but I think the set for blue eyes was browns and grays for the subtle look and grays and blues for a bolder look.

Maybe you could look on their website.
It depends. If you want people to notice the color, use blue eyeshadow. If you want them to notice the entire eye, don't use shadow, but a color slightly lighter than your skin just underneath your eye. It bounces light off of them.
    try a brownish yellow.

Opposite of ur eyecolor adds drama, that wold be like a dark orange red but yellow brown looks better
Ocean Blue , Smoky Gray , Plum , Emerald Green . Gold

What is the best eye shadow for green eyes?

I have eyes that are light green towards the center and have a few streaks of yellow before they fade into a deep blue ring around the outside. Whats the best shade? I usually wear dark makeup..What is the best eye shadow for green eyes?
Shades of purple look fabulous on green eyes, but you don't want to over-do it. Using a plum shade in your crease and around your lash line is the perfect amount to look stunning. Also, believe it or not, a little bit of green looks good if you do it right. Just put a little around you top lash line and blend it really well. You also might want to try a neutral shade, like a pretty bronze or lighter brown with dark brown eyeliner (but not too much liner) and that will also make your green eyes pop! What is the best eye shadow for green eyes?
Dark purple (that doesn't look too bold) should look really pretty!
Since u have some different colors in your eyes i would probably have to say a color like a cream. Also since you like dark make-up, which i do to cause i have brown eyes, anyways i would where black mascara and black eyeliner to give it the darker look but still have that eye shadow in the background.
browns and purples [not togheter] really bring out green eyes
purples and tans. i prefer light purples and tans work for everyone. they WILL pop!
Any shade of brown would work, but try going for one that is a little darker. There are sets that come with three or four different shades of brown that you can get a blended effect with.
pink. would make them really POP.

or you could use blue for a more subtle look.

What is the best eye shadow color for brown eyes?

I am a light skinned black woman. What is the best eye shadow color for brown eyes?
I am also a light skinned black woman with brown eyes and I find that just about anything gold works for me. I like to use bronzers or face shimmer (which can be used on your entire face, but be careful brushes and other make-up tools carry bacteria). You could also try some earth tones and a few bright colors (only during the appropriate occasion).

P.S.-You could also dust a little of the bronzer on your shoulders and breast area for a little bit of a glow.

Good luck!!What is the best eye shadow color for brown eyes?

try gold or purple they would look really cute on you
    A gold is nice.
i have brown eyes, and i weir either light brown or a very light color. but in your case, you might want to do something dark.
if you go to walmart and look in the wet n wild section it has a couple of eyeshadows and on the back of the case it says what this eyeshadow color flatters.
    gold, blue, plums,
it's not just your eye color that comes into play but your undertones which includes your skin tone, hair tone, and eye tone.

by guessing at by your profile pick which i assume looks like you i would say that these would work:

Avon's True Color Eyeshadow Quad in

    Washed Khakis

    Earthtones

    Fresh Cut Greens

Personally I think that the Fresh Cut Greens Quad looks fantastic on brown skin, it really pops, you can find these at

i personally really like Mark makeup....they have a lot of colors and a lot of different types of eye shadow such as pencil, stick, cream, etc. you can also get colors that come together in one container and when you apply them all together they look really good.....the makeup also is at really cheap prices and a lot cheaper than MAC!!

    http://gfinn.mymarkstore.com/
M.A.C. by far has the most variety (and the best IMHO) from the neutral shades to the brights. Its a bit on the pricey side. If you like ';loud'; colors (like me) www.medusasmakeup.com/ has great colors similar to M.A.C at a much lower price and the quality is great.

light brown, or black. It would make your eyes stand out more. What eye shadow goes best with green eyes, pale skin and medium blonde hair?
Shimmery golds will bring out the under tones in your eyes as well as compliment your hair color and pop against pale skin. Also try a shade of mascara that looks naturual and just a bit darker than your lashes. So probably dark brown. Also a dark plum really pops against green.

I suggest you check out this website:

dark colours could really wash you out

You should match your eye shadow with your shirt. I find that attractive.
You should look for colors in the brownish/gold categories! They will really make your eyes pop.

Avoid advice that says match your eyeshadow to your eye color or clothing color. That's not flattering!

What is a good eye shadow color for someone with bronze/golden skin and brown eyes and brown hair?

I need a good eye shadow color for school. What is a simple easy pretty eyeshadow for me?What is a good eye shadow color for someone with bronze/golden skin and brown eyes and brown hair?
ok, I'm not sure what everyone else is going on...but the best color for you would be a light purple/lavender color...it really brings out brown eyes...they will stand out, promise. I have eyes that change from green to brown, but they're usually green. when i wear lavender shadow, they look solid brown. also, my sis has dark brown eyes, and she even told me it makes her eyes ';pop';What is a good eye shadow color for someone with bronze/golden skin and brown eyes and brown hair?
    gold
Green or blue, definitely. You'll look fab.
turquoise or emerald, it will make your eyes pop. use some liner on the inner rims and on the lower outer rims. and then black mascara, two layers
    blue
i myself also have a naturaly taned skin, i would defenetly go for a golden color, it gives you that sexy look, but its very natural so you could defenetly wear it to school n look fierce!

    here are some examples:

    Gold :)
So you've given specifics about what you need - it is for school and you want it pretty and easy. Given your skin color, actually it doesn't matter what your hair color is.

I suggest that you use a combination of pink and blue. Dab some pink eyeshadow first covering almost halfway in between the eyebrows and the eyelids. Then apply some blue eyeshadow covering the upper part of the pink portion excluding the eyelid part, leaving the lower pink part visible. This will give you an almost violet-pink combination. Really neat everyday make-up for a student...
    emerald green, blue, green
an emerald green on the lids only. don't make it too dramatic for school. you don't wanna look like a prostitute.
bronze or copper colored with a light gold highlight.
i think something exotic looking.. color go wild..

    black

    peach

    green and blue

    work that tannnn
gold or yellow. The yellow really pops and not too many people can wear it well.
get the 2 colors called spicy by clinique
    Green
etheir blue, pink or brown etheir of those will work

What eye shadow should I wear to best complement my odd colored eyes?

My family is known for our odd eye colors. All of us have different eye shades, not just from person to person but in our own eyes. Mine have a grey ring around the outside, right inside of that they are an emraled green and around the center is a rich hazel (as my mother calls it) that looks more like honey. What eye shadow should I wear to use my unigue eyes to my advantage instead of always looking like I got sucker punched instead of wearing make-up?What eye shadow should I wear to best complement my odd colored eyes?
A matte colored light lavender, or a shimmery copper colorWhat eye shadow should I wear to best complement my odd colored eyes?
MAC makes an eyeshadow color called ';Shroom'; that compliments just about any eye color. I have an odd eye color also, and it looks great. The shadow is somewhere between an off-white and grey. It sounds weird, but looks really good on. It's not that expensive either.
L'oreal has a color called 'Mink' that I think would work for you. It's an odd combination of a greyish mocha. It's not a dark color, but not a light one either - it's a nice medium that can be used day time or a little heavier for nighttime. I'd use a med brown or dark gray liner with it.

    Good Luck.

PS I have blue/grey eyes and it works great for me, my niece has greenish/hazel/golden eyes and she loves it too.
    light blue or purple
A nice LIGHT grey color or mabey a brown would look stuning on your odd colored eyes. I also have odd eyes. One Blue and the other a Dark Brown. Pretty kool! Hope I helped! Hood Luck!
go for a smokey plum, drama style!
go one shade up from your skin tone. eyeshadow doesn't need to be colorful to be effective.

    good luck =-D
You can wear any color eyeshadow you want to, because the trick is in applying it, not if it would compliment your eyes or not!

For neutral colors, use a smoky gray to subtely bring out your eyes. Either smudge gray liner or shadow close to your lashes all around you eyes, and use a shimmery light grey or white on you lids.

For colors, apply a beige/brown shadow all over your lids, then use green/blue/purple/orange shoadow close to your lash line. Accentuate the colors with black mascara and a little bit of black eyeliner in the corners of your eyes.

Good luck, and keep experimenting. The key is practice!
Try a lite brown or if you can find it hazel! It will make your eyes brighten up even more!
I would consider my skin tone. your eyes sound like they are very pretty, so i would go with earth tones. your comparing then to honey, so try sally Hanson's eye shadows there light and not very subtle, it might take a few tries but give it a shot, and if all else fails go Revlon, make sure you have the proper brushes as well, that always helps with those hard to reach places. P.S. avoid the crease where your eyes open, if you apply a dark color it will look like you have black eyes.
well i would use a more darker color like dark green or matelic green that is more sparkly. or a medium brown or gold would look beautiful. guys will be check you out trust me. i have the same problem and this months i have had 4 boyfriend in a row.
First, whoever said use light blue needs to get out of the 80's. LIGHT BLUE SHOULD NEVER BE USED.. it makes anyone look like a clown!! yuck, yuck, yuck.

Anyway. I have green eyes, and deep, rich shades of purple bring them out the best. Not too heavy.. you don't want to look over done. Even natural earth, brown tones bring out the green. Just play around with a bunch of colors. I know that Almay advertises those eye shadows that highlight your eye color, altho, I wouldn't be caught dead putting on GREEN eye shadow. That just seems silly. Or if I had blue eyes, I wouldn't dare put on blue eye shadows. If you can't tell, I am completely against blue eye shadow, lol... it just makes me think of the big fat lady from Drew Carey... hahaha...

But like I said, just play with a bunch of different colors, and see which suits you best =)

What eye shadow and liner colors what look good on brown eyes?

Thanks Lots :)What eye shadow and liner colors what look good on brown eyes?
You should use one of the following colours:

    purple,gold,green, orange

They should look really nice on your brown eyes.

Experiment a bit with these colors and see which you like best.

MartinWhat eye shadow and liner colors what look good on brown eyes?
It mainly depends on your skin tone. If you have a darker skin tone, then a gold eye shadow combined with a bronze finish and dark brown eyeliner would be perfect. Glitters also look perfect on darker skins (BUT, do not over do it!!!!) Also earth tone colors are perfect and suit more the darker skins. For summer I prefer a light green while for winter I would prefer gold

If you have a lighter skin tone, then brown eyes can match any eye shadow color. It depends from the season. For Christmas, I you live in a colder country, then I would suggest diamond color eye shadow, really black eye liner and red lip gloss (it s perfect for x-mas) or many variations of purple with gold or silver. If it is summer time, I would suggest vivid colors, such as pink, light blue, yellow and orange (always in lighter tones). The advantage of brown eyes is that hey are neutral. So, you can mix and match. For example, use light green eye shadow with blue eye liner, or pink eye shadow with brown or purple eyeliner. Avoid red and the brown-green color. They make your eyes look aged and tired.
Lilac,(paler than purple) green and blue eyeshadows look amazing on dark brown eyes. Teal eyeshadow looks amazing. If you went to a Mac counter they would show you quite a few eyeshadows that look great on dark brown eyes. Most tend to be those colours that you think are gross but with a soft wash over the lid your eyes just pop.

Navy blue mascara looks awesome on brown eyes. It is just finding that colour in your favourite mascara. Navy blue eyeliner would also look good if you do not want to wear a light liner during the day. If you don't mind a light liner experiment with light blues and greys..

Go to Mac and try out the different variations of the colour on your skin. You don't necessarily need to buy their makeup but it will give you some idea.

You can always find lilac in drug store cosmetic

I have dark brown eyes and dark skin. NC35/40
Dark liner and mascara, and a light beige color on lid, then a pink/purple in crease, then a darker pink or purple (whichever you used in crease) Almay makes a eyeshadow trio that comes w/ 3 different color shades for every eye color. Iuse the one for brown eyes and have since gotten a lot of compliments on the way my make up looks.
Black eye liner makes any colour eye stand out. My eyes are boring brown, but when i wear black eye liner they look really interesting and emphasised. Any eye shadow you like would look good with brown eyes I'm sure, I'm getting fluro green eye shadow, hen i tried it on it looked good.
Purple shadow works wonders !!!! black eyeliner and black mascara... different types of dark bronzy colors work well too ... but always with a little bit of black along the lash line.
I have brown eyes as what really makes my eyes pop is black liner and black mascara. For shadow, pink, purple and coral color work best.
pink, green, purple, gold, orange thats all i can think of right now :)
BLACK BLACK BLACK and then pinks and golds for shadows, also some blues look really nice!

What color eye shadow and eyeliner looks better on fair skin?

I have fair skin, and blond hair with rosy cheeks and pinkish eyelids and on the skin below my brow on eye.

What color eye shadow and eyeliner looks good? How should i apply it?

*ps -green eyes-*What color eye shadow and eyeliner looks better on fair skin?
Eye Shadow: Doing more neutral colors are safe routes. However, depending on your outfit and how your mood is at the time, I would suggest a rose red or ice blue. Although using your eye color may match that part of your face, it also accentuates it and causes it to appear much larger, which can be a bad thing. I would apply the eye shadow towards the outer edges of your eyes in an upper diagonal fashion towards your temples, but not too much area should be covered. Be moderate in your usage.

Eye liner: If you are a beginner, you should use a pencil by all means. But if you can handle it, trying using liquid w/ brush. You could use dark green for this part of your eye, because it won't make it look bigger, but more defined. You want definition around your eyes and not enlargement. What color eye shadow and eyeliner looks better on fair skin?
Well I am a blond with green eyes and somewhat rosy cheeks. My skin is very fair also. I have found that purple eyeshadows work the best for me. You can find eyeshadows at any drugstore or Walmart to match green eyes. Every brand seems to have purple for green eyes. When you apply the multiple shades of purple to your lids, make sure you use the darkest in the crease of your eye and the lightest below the brow fading away to the rest of your face. I try not to overdo it too much with the eyeliner though. When it comes to that, I stick with smoke gray or brown(Those are also good colors for your mascara). I only apply eyeliner on half of the bottom lid and then spread it out with my finger. I put it all the way across my top lid. Another helpful hint is not to go bold with lipstick, it takes away from the eyes. I actually lightly apply foundation to my lips to sort of fade them out. My eyes seem more drastic that way and very very green.
I think blonds look great in all kinds of eyeshadows...if you want to go intense you could try a light green (to match your eyes) or light blue...if you want to go more conservative, try a light pink or cream colors. Also golds are really in right now and they make all kinds - my favorite is 'champagne' by covergirl.

I always use a brush to apply my eyeshadows- it goes on more even and blends better. If you go to youtube and search 'make up' tutorials- you will find all kinds of cool stuff, and if you pick the good ones, they will take you step by step on how to apply makeup in all different kinds of ways...I got all kinds of ideas from those things.
use brown (not dark brown) eyeliner.

eyeshadow shades: sparklyish white, neutral shimmery shades. nothing too dark. :)
Whatever you do DONT use Helen E cosmetics, the worst possible makeup ever! xx
You don't want to use too dark an eyeshadow or it'll look skanky or like you lost a fight. I'd go with pink or purple.
    Grey or black.

Ok i have dark blue eyes, dirty brown hair and nude coloured skin. What coloured mascara and eyeshadow would look good on me? What brands do you use? What coloured eye shadow would go best with me?
I would go with blue and pink eye shadow and black mascara. I use always and covergirl. You should use any make-up sparingly though don't want to clog any pores. What coloured eye shadow would go best with me?
Light tans, browns, and golds along with baby pinks all look wonderful above blue eyes.

Also, When going out at night wear black eyeliner and black mascara with darker smokey eyeshadows in rich browns and blacks.

However during the day always wear fair light colours otherwise you wind up looking like a panda. Brown eyeliner and brown mascara.
Go for Earthy colors, it'll look natural and really pretty. If you can put it on thin, use black liquid eyeliner, and light brown eyeshadows.

But if you can't put on the eyeliner thin, use a brown pencil liner, and brown eyeshadows.
I know a lot people look down on Wal-Mart, but they actually do have an eye makeup kit designed by professionals based on your eye color. I got the one for brown eyes and it looks awesome on me. The brand is Almay.
i think that for ur skool social u should wear something bright n fun or if u wanna look sexy ucould go for smokey eyes n all the guys will find u totally irresistable!!

Don't use anything with purple hues (or red or pink). Using a flesh toned pencil (or white if you cannot find one), rim the entire inner lid of the eye (the pinkish wet part). Use a light golden shimmer in the inner corners of the eyes and under the brow. Using a brown (cool toned, not reddish) liner, go along the roots of the lashes. Black eye-liner and black or green-shadow

What is the best color eye shadow for me?

I am very tan during the summer, like, bronzie i guess. I have dark borwn hair, and really dark brown eyes, what color eye shadow would be best for me? And what color blush, i'm tired of using the same colors, which consists of mostly browns and a little pink. What is the best color eye shadow for me?
sounds like 'cool' colors would work best for you. nothing in the 'earth colors'. neutral works for everyone.

greys work well on dark eyes as do purples (almost any jewel tone color works well). What is the best color eye shadow for me?
light colors will contrast your tan skin, maybe a light blue or a lavender. i think gold will also add to your glow. as for blush, i would use a plum or maybe a bubble gum color (lightly)

    best of luck!
green or medium blues and light purples

use a brown/ light pink blush

    berry/ red lipstick

    very black mascara

    bronze/ white nail polish

    black/brown eyeliner
    Probably a light blue.
try a shimmery light pink and/or light tan. Use the pink on your lids and the light tan under your brow. then finish off with some dark brown in the creases
I'm so glad you're asking this! I can help you. For eye shadow, I would recommend going with the bronze colors, but if you wanted to make a nice dramatic look, I would go with a light blue. That definitely compliments your eyes.

Blush can be tricky. I've used the wrong blush before, and it just looks bad...I would recommend a nice warm pink or a light red for you. Be careful not to apply it too heavy though.

I can see how you're tired of the same old make up choices. Go with a color you think would look nice, but would never choose yourself. It's great to experiment!

I really hope I helped! Good luck, and I'm sure you're a very pretty girl, so shine on! Again, good luck!
go to truecolors.com, they have excellent products. if u frequent the malls, stop at one of the counters in macy's and ask the helpful reps, they're trained in skin tones, etc.
I find white always goes nice with tanned skin, pink i like NOT BLUE!!! blue will make you look sick cuz of your hair and your skin colour. You should try a little mascara to change things up a bit
You should try a light blue or a light green.

And a light pink blush does look great with tan skin and brown hair and eyes. Try it and see if it works but if it doesn't then try asking your friends or your mom and see there opinion!

    Hope I helped! :-)
green or gold eyeshadow makes brown eyes pop and look very bright %26amp; vibrant.

I especially like using green. not too much though.

be sure to choose the right shade that goes with your skintone.

it will look fabulous, trust me. I have dark brown eyes as well.

    hope this helped !
if i was you, id use slightly shimmery greens and possibly some purples. I love Barry M's range and its cheap!

Mix it with a bit of vaseline to have a more glamourous look too.
I have the same type of color hair, eyes and skin as you!! I use a bronze/ rusty look eyeshadow but not too much or i look orange!! also---

You can use almost any eyeshadow as long as they are both good quality. The rule of thumb for that nice, perfect blending and fading is a good brush. I suggest MAC shadow brushes. You can get them at Nordstrom either at the MAC counter or online: http://shop.nordstrom.com/C/2383825/0~23鈥?/a>

They are a little pricey but they are well worth the investment.

There are also instructional videos you can watch on youtube. I tried some searches for you and I think these are the best:

And for the other part of you question, you can still curl your lashes when you have a natural curl if you want a bold look that will stand out against your eyeshadow. How do you put on eye shadow like they do on TV?
People on TV have people like me do it for them. Really I do for the people I work with I buy a base white coat that makes the colors stand out and stay in place.

I usually use bone by Bobbi Brown, but you can find other products like it in a drug store.
yes, people have others do makeup for them on tv.

but if you want to learn how, try youtube and type in make-up tutorial, or whatever type of make-up style you'd like.
You can take classes for that. All you need to is keep trying. The more you work at it the better you get. Try it you can do it

Well I have a whole bunch of different color eye shadow, I was just wondering what would go good with my complection. ( i guess you could call me kinda pale)What color eye shadow flatters a red head?
I bet a light purple will brighten your brown eyes. I read somewhere that a light purple eyeshadow flatters most skin and eye colors. I use this brand called Physicians Formula, and they have this shimmery light purple eyeshadow that comes in a capsule type container. I don't know what the shade is called, though. What color eye shadow flatters a red head?

It is well known that green suits red heads. So try that.
use a small thin brush and a golden brown color on the bottom lid, making a thin line, and use a pop out light green, or a light shade of blue. or use silvers and metallics. just dont use pink.
use pastals, the lighter shades, blues and greens

What color eye shadow with sage green dress?

My brother is getting married this weekend and I'm one of his bridesmaids. Anyways, my dress is a sage green color, shoes are silver. However, I dont know what to do with my makeup. Particularly my eye shadow. I just dont know if you match it to the dress or will it look to over done? Help!!!

Thanks. What color eye shadow with sage green dress?
I really think that your eye makeup should not be matched with your dress. I think it would look way too pasty if you did that.

What color are your beautiful eyes?

Bring out your soulful beauty by enhancing your eyes. Whether your eyes are big, small, round, narrow, or deep set, all eyes will be on you when you give them a touch of glamour. Doing up the eyes is a great way to play with makeup, so have fun!

    * Always apply a highlight shade under the eyebrow and in the tear duct area. This creates at an open, bright-eyed look. Younger women can choose shadows or creams with shimmer; older women should stick with sheer, matte colors like vanilla. Highlight shades include: light pink, white, vanilla, gold, iridescent, and champagne.

    * For a natural day look, you can stop with Step 1 before moving to eyeliner. For a little more definition or an evening look, apply an eye shadow shade across the lid and a slightly darker one in the crease. Blend well; no 鈥榮tripes.鈥?br>

    * Apply a dark liner to the upper lash line of the eyes. You can use a pencil, shadow, or liquid depending your desired effect. Liner enhances your lash line to frame the eyes. The closer to the lash line, the more natural the effect.

    * Mascara is a must on top lashes. If you tend to smudge the lower area when applying, skip it underneath. Curling lashes first makes a huge difference on straight lashes. Curled lashes=more drama.

    * When choosing colors, use shades opposite your eye color. Contrast really makes the eyes stand out.

    * Don't overdo it. If you are doing a strong or bright lip, use minimal eye makeup. For a classic look, apply the highlight shade, a taupe shadow across the lid, a dark line along the lashes and finish with mascara.

    * For a sexy, smoky look on larger eyes, rim the inside with a black pencil.

    * When using cream shadows apply only on the lid and not into the crease so the color does not become a creasy, greasy mess.

    * Splurge on brushes. Blending is so important when using eye shadows and having good brushes makes all the difference. I buy some of my faves at art supply stores as well as makeup shops. If loose shadow falls under the eye when you are applying shadow, wipe away with a sponge dipped in a little foundation. It's the perfect eraser. What color eye shadow with sage green dress?
Purple is a great choice to compliment green. Depending on your skin tone and eye color you can choose the correct shade to keep from looking over done or washed out. I recommend a deep purple only in the crease and a lavender on the lid. You can then highlight under your brow with a light silver or just a light cream color for definition. I also recommend using a primer to help hold the shadow in place for hours. Works great!
ugh. def not green. that looks rly bad. do like a smoky color, or brownish or something. not too dark. maybe w/ tiny bit of gold right near the eyelashes.
i agree not to use the same colour as the dress..

you could go for a purple, brown or possibly white or a pinky colour.

not too dark for a wedding.

    :D
sage green or gold (that always lokss good)
